The Stacks are a band born out of the appreciation of songwriting and indie rock sensibilities deriving from the influence of artists like Harry Nilsson, Television, Leon Russell, Richard Hell and the Voidoids, The Clean, Merle Travis, Dick Dale and Leonard Cohen. Originating out of the Hill Country, brothers Jake and Lucas Ames grew up playing shows in Kerrville, Texas and attending the Kerrville Folk Festival where Jake would eventually meet Tyler Jordan. The two would strike a friendship that would lead to them playing in each others bands, Jake playing lead guitar in Good Looks and Tyler playing bass and singing harmonies in the Stacks. The power trio are releasing their first ever LP Lay Me Down To Rest through Feels So Good Records.
